The Department of Planning and Development is holding an initial meeting to take community feedback on development at 1436 NW 62nd St. This development will be demolishing a three story single family house and replacing it with a 4 story apartment building.

The details of the meeting are:

Date:                  Monday, January 13, 2014
Time:                 6:30 p.m.
Location:           Ballard Community Center
6020 28th Ave NW
Multi-purpose Room

These initial hearings are important for guiding the dialogue about developments and local opponents of change usually show up in force. If you would like to make housing costs a priority for the city this is a good opportunity to voice your concerns, especially if you live in the Ballard neighborhood.
