With a vision to host the healthiest, most sustainable and socially responsible Super Bowl ever, the San Francisco Bay Area Super Bowl 50 Host Committee launched the Play Your Part initiative, encouraging fans to make environmentally conscious decisions.

For pledging to use public transportation or ride their bike to the game, to use refillable drink bottles and responsibly dispose of their waste, football fans will be rewarded with 50 gold coins, which they can then nominate to one of several Bay Area causes, helping determine how $200,000 from the Sustainable Environments Game Changer Grant will be allocated. The ultimate incentive for many to do their part, however, will be the prospect of winning 2 tickets to the big game.
