The Urbanist is having a handful of events as the year comes to a close, including our end-of-year holiday party! Tickets are limited, with only 20 remaining to secure a spot at our VIP Reception.

We’re also restarting our monthly socials after a hiatus during election season. In addition to our Seattle social on Friday, November 21, we’ll be joining Eastside Urbanism in Redmond on November 20 and West Seattle Urbanism on November 26.

The Complete Communities Coalition, of which The Urbanist is a member, is rolling out outreach events to keep the public involved in the Seattle Comprehensive Plan. While the rest of the year will be relatively quiet on that front, the process will continue into next year, and it will be important to keep up pressure on the new city council and build momentum.

Finally, the Washington Institute for a Democratic Future, an organization dedicated to educating the next generation of political leaders, is hosting an election breakdown and recap on November 20. If you want to start your yearly dose of election analysis, this is a good place to begin.
