We have already rezoned much of the city. I hope the data you are talking about is the data that quantifies the area of land that has already been rezoned to the missing middle housing. Also that the data will be honest by removing the land that is in parks, city owned land, and right of ways so that we can see the actual percentage that is left for single family housing. We will find that our percentage of single family housing has been largely reduced.


We have rezoned a tiny part of the city. Only 8% of the developable land is zoned for mult-family housing, according to this: That is calculated by your rules (not counting city owned land, parks, etc.). Only 8%. In contrast, around 49% of the land is zoned for single family housing.


Should Seattle Taxpayers have to house every homeless person that comes here?


Given that so few homeless come from outside the area, why not? That’s like saying, “Should we house homeless redheads?”. I mean, yeah, you could save a little money by excluding redheads, but that hardly seems fair.
