Sunday Video: PARK(ing) Day+ In Greenwood

Our friends at Seattle Neighborhood Greenways share some jarring clips of what an intersection at Greenwood Ave N and N 83rd St was like prior to their two-day makeover of it as part of this year’s PARK(ing) Day+. The post-transformation shows just how much more comfortable and safe the intersection became with a few targeted changes.

This is great. We need permanent curb bulbs in all multiuse zones. It should not be a grant issue. It should not be an advocacy issue. It should be a safety project that happens right now. SDOT should hire an engineer and a team of workmen that are 100% curb bulb 100% of the time. No public debates, no public planning, all curb improvements all the time.
