The Port of Seattle has released a new video visualizing what the new International Arrivals Facility (IAF) will look like and how it will function when it opens next fall at Seat-Tac International Airport. The new facility should expand customs processing capacity and reduce clearance times, which could spur more interest for carriers to operate international routes from the airport. We previously covered the masterplanning process of the airport as well as ongoing expansion efforts, including the IAF. Recently, regional leaders have been looking into future commercial passenger service needs, although there is ample debate over priorities, impacts, and how need is defined.
