The highlight of The Urbanist's June events program is the June 10th King County Candidate Housing Forum, where we'll be hearing from candidates for King County Assessor and County Council District 2 on housing policy, land value taxes, and more.
In July, The Urbanist is hosting our Summer Endorsed Candidate Party, where we'll gather our endorsed candidates and supporters to mingle, connect, and relax ahead of the upcoming primary. We'll hear from Urbanist staff and endorsed candidates about how we are working to promote the urbanist vision for our region.
June 10th King County Candidate Housing Forum
- What: A forum focused on housing covering two King County races this year, including the King County Assessor and Council District 2 races. Seating will be plentiful. The County Assessor candidates will be going first, from 6 pm to 7:30 pm, followed by the King County Council D2 race from 7:30 pm to 9 pm.

June 18th Seattle Urbanist Social
- What: A monthly social gathering of urbanists from across Seattle. Meet like-minded people, hear about how to get more involved in organizing locally, and talk about the latest urbanist news.

June 25th Urbanists Join Eastside Urbanism for a Social
- What: A monthly social gathering with the grassroots organizers and urbanists over at Eastside Urbanism. With the crosslake connection finally open, connecting urbanists across the region is now easier than ever!

July 19th Urbanist Endorsed Candidate Party
- What: The Urbanist is hosting a summer party fundraiser with all of our endorsed candidates to take a breath and connect with supporters before the primary. We'll hear from some of our electeds and from Urbanist staff and board about how we intend to support candidates and promote urbanism in the region.
