On September 30th, we are hosting a walking tour of the new Pinehurst Link Station during the infill station's grand debut! Join The Urbanist for a tour of the neighborhood with speakers from the Complete Communities Coalition, Jackson Park for All, and local organizer Renee Staton, along with The Urbanist's own Doug Trumm.
Topics will include how the infill station came to be, station access street upgrades, a pending Pinehurst rezone, which will add an urban center near the station once Seattle's delayed growth plan is enacted, and the opportunity to adapt a portion of the publicly owned 27-hole Jackson Park Golf Course to a different park use with broader appeal – or even housing.

The route will be less than two miles long and includes some stairs in the Jackson Park Trail section. The tour begins and ends at Pinehurst Station. Sound Transit is hosting activity booths and live music at the station from 2pm to 6pm.
Sept. 30th: Explore Pinehurst Station and Neighborhood
What: Join The Urbanist as we explore the new Pinehurst Station and explore and discuss the surrounding Pinehurst neighborhood's land use and zoning.
Where: Meet outside Seasmith Coffee at 5:30pm to ride up, or at Pinehurst Station at 6pm sharp at the north end of the station near the crosswalk to the Jackson Park Trail.
When: Walking from 6 pm - 7:15pm.
