The Urbanist and Eastrail Partners are hosting a biking tour in Kirkland on Sunday, May 17, and we still have spots available. The tour will be led by Kirkland planning director Adam Weinstein and focus on the Cross Kirkland Corridor, a former railroad converted into a recreational trail.
On June 10th, The Urbanist is partnering with cohosts Tech4Housing, Tech4Taxes, and GotGreen to put on a King County Candidate Housing Forum. The forum will cover the races for King County Assessor and King County Council District 2, which is hotly contested with State Senator Rebecca SaldaΓ±a and Seattle Port Commission President Toshiko Hasegawa both vying for the open seat.
While not a flashy position, if you have strong opinions on land value, property taxes, and land use policy, the King County Assessor race could certainly be of interest.
Beyond the events The Urbanist is hosting, the second annual Seattle Super Saunter is set for Saturday, May 16. Walk from the northernmost point to the southernmost point of Seattle and get to know your city like never before.
