We are less than a week away from our September 15 talk at Town Hall Seattle featuring Ray Delahanty of CityNerd, our contributing editor Ryan Packer, Seattle City Councilmember Alexis Mercedes Rinck, and King County Councilmember Claudia Balducci. Get your tickets while supplies last.
Ray will be showing off a work-in-progress video about the Link light rail system before it hits his YouTube channel. Ryan and Ray will discuss the future of public transit and transit-oriented development in our region, covering the obstacles we are facing and the opportunities.

We are also hosting our monthly Seattle social on September 24th at Teku Tavern, a week delayed compared to our usual time. Come by and talk transit, housing, and other urbanism topics with like-minded people!
On September 30th, we are hosting a walking tour of the new Pinehurst Link Station during the infill station's grand debut! Join The Urbanist for a ride up from Capitol Hill and explore the Pinehurst light rail station and surrounding area, discussing how the infill station came into being and what comes next for the neighborhood. Topics will include a pending Pinehurst rezone, which will add an urban center near the station once Seattle's delayed growth plan is enacted, and the opportunity to adapt a portion of the publicly-owned 27-hole Jackson Park Golf Course to a different park use with broader appeal – or even housing.
